Kindergarten teacher for nine years at a highly academic independent all-girls school. Implemented classroom strategies through The Responsive Classroom Program to assure the social and emotional well-being of each student and a cohesive classroom community resulting in joyful learning. Head teacher working with three and four years olds focusing on social skills, fine and gross motor coordination, letter and number recognition, colors and shapes. Students spent their portion of the morning or afternoon sessions flowing through arts and crafts and sitting for
story time and short lessons. Held quarterly meetings with parents to discuss progress and wrote four narrative report cards a year.
